We just love this place, just like one of our beach clubs, but in the mountains. Located in Val Thorens, the highest altitude ski resort in Europe, this Savoyard chalet is completely enchanting with a panoramic view over the 3 Vallées ski area. Family run since its creation in 1976, its comfortable and welcoming outdoor and indoor spaces are perfect for friends and families.
Only a few meters from the slopes and only five minutes on foot from the local shops and bars, Hotel Sherpa offers a warm welcome in a relaxed, family-run setting away from the hustle & bustle.
Inside, the traditional décor creates a cosy Alpine vibe, complete with charming touches like sheepskin-covered chairs—perfect for unwinding after a day on the mountain. Mealtimes are a highlight here, with the hotel’s skilled chef preparing every dish from scratch, including inclusive five-course evening dinners.
To recharge for another day on the slopes, soothe your tired legs in the outdoor hot tub. You’ll also find a terrace sauna with stunning mountain views—head there at sunset to relax.

About Val Thorens
Sitting at 2,300m with runs reaching up to a snow-sure 3,230m, Val Thorens is a top choice for reliable conditions all season long. It’s part of the legendary Three Valleys – a vast ski area boasting 600km of linked slopes, served by speedy lifts and suited to every level, from total beginners to seasoned pros and families.
The town itself is compact and purpose-built, making ski-in, ski-out access the norm. Getting on the mountain couldn’t be simpler. All around, towering peaks frame the resort, creating a breathtaking backdrop of crisp, white, high altitude wilderness.
When the lifts stop spinning, the après takes over. Dance in your ski boots at high-altitude hotspots like La Folie Douce, or kick back with a demi and some alpine nibbles at friendly local favourites.

Small double economy rooms sleep two people and are around 15m² with a double bed.
Traditional rooms sleep two to three people and are around 20m² with twin beds or a double bed, plus an additional single bed and a balcony with views of the mountains. If this room is booked for 3 people, then the room will be made up with a double bed and the additional single bed.
Panorama rooms sleep two to three people and are around 20m² with twin beds or a double bed, plus an additional single bed and a balcony with panoramic mountain views. If this room is booked for 3 people, then the room will be made up with a double bed and the additional single bed.
Junior suites sleep two to four people and are around 30m², with a twin or double bedroom and an additional sofa bed on mezzanine level, and a balcony with mountain views.
