General holiday information
Am I financially protected ?
We offer 100% financial protection for all our holidays. We provide security for passengers’ holiday payments prior to and up to the completion of the package holiday in the event of the financial failure of the organiser. For further details click here
Do we need travel insurance and if so should we get ‘specialised sports’ Insurance?
You need personal travel insurance at the time of booking at least to the level of our recommended insurance provider, but you shouldn’t need specific sports insurance as all our activities are not classed as high risk (we do advise reading the full policy wording regarding included activities before purchasing your insurance). Holiday insurance is compulsory on all our holidays.
Remember to check your policy covers you for medical expenses/loss or theft of personal belongings/water sports/travel delays.
Most travel insurance policies cover yacht sailing under standard policies and all our activities are within 12nm of the coast. All our sailing yachts have professional Marine Charter Insurance already in place also.
Is there a charge if I pay for my holiday by Credit Card?
There is no charge for credit or debit card payments. Please note that we do not accept American Express.
What if we have to cancel our holiday?
If for any reason you need to cancel your holiday, please contact us as soon as possible.
If you cancel your holiday the lead name on the booking must advise us in writing by post or email. A cancellation will be effective from the date received and the following cancellation fees will apply:
More than 8 weeks prior to departure: loss of deposit
4-8 weeks prior to departure: 75% of holiday cost
Within 4 weeks of departure: 100% of holiday cost
You can claim under your travel insurance if the cancellation falls within the terms of the insurance, and we are more than happy to write to your insurance company.
Depending on your circumstances, we will do our best to try to re-schedule your booking for a future date – but cannot guarantee.
Can we add/change people to our booking?
Depending on spaces on the yacht/accommodation – this is possible and must be agreed prior to travelling. Prices may vary, and your holiday cost may need to be amended. Please contact our office in order to do this.
