The Lixouri Bay Beach Club is located a short 5-10 minute drive north along the coast from the cosmopolitan little town of Lixouri on Kefalonia. The town has lots of tavernas, cafes and shops.

The resort itself is just above the beach with a pool, bar and restaurant on site. Down at the beach you’ll find all the watersports facilities as well as the beach bar and beach day beds.

Lixouri Bay Beach Club is approximately 60 minutes from the airport.

1) Pre-Book a meet & greet and transfer with us to take away all the hassle. You’ll see our sign and your name on arrival.

2) Grab a taxi on arrival at the airport rank and ask for the Lazaratos Hotel.

All hotel accommodation and apartments are Club board, which is breakfast every day and four evening meals. Meals are served on Thursday (arrival evening) Friday, Monday and Wednesday (last evening). Lunch and dinner on non-inclusive nights are available at the club taverna, alternatively, there are various restaurants and tavernas in Lixouri Town and the local area.

Our villas are self-catering, with the option to enjoy all meals at the club taverna for an extra cost. There are also various restaurants and tavernas in the local area as well as in Lixouri town where you will find supermarkets should you wish to buy provisions to self cater.

Our Lixouri Bay Beach Club holidays are offered on a Club Board basis (villas are self-catering). It’s a buffet breakfast served daily between 8am and 10.30am. Fresh, good quality coffee can also be ordered (not included).

Lunch is served at the pool bar and also in the taverna from midday under the shade – it’s a pretty extensive menu with fresh seasonal produce all cooked on site and includes fresh fish.

The pool bar also serves snacks, drinks and ice creams throughout the day.

Your inclusive meals will be served buffet style in The Deck Restaurant on the top floor of the hotel from 8pm on Thursday (arrival day), Friday, Monday and Wednesday (final day) evenings.

On the other nights of the week, the club taverna is still available for meals. These can be added to your room bill.

We also recommend hopping in a taxi for one evening as there are 3 incredible fish tavernas on amazing beaches. These are Sparos Taverna Bistro near Mega Lakkos Beach (15 min drive), Spiaggia Vatsa on Vatsa Beach (15 min drive) and Erisma at Petani Beach (15-20 min drive).

In high season, pre-booking is advisable as well as leaving plenty of time to drive to your destination.

Yes, there are plenty of mini-marts and a supermarket in Lixouri town as well as plenty of bakeries and cafes too. Lixouri Bay is a 5 – 10 minute taxi ride from Lixouri town.

For our Villa Club holidays, a vehicle is included for the duration of your stay. Parking is available for free at the club and beach.

Yes, it is a wide strip of sandy beach, with a beach bar and a grassy area.

The Family Suites all have sea views. Of the remaining studio rooms and loft apartments, most, but not all have sea views. Please ask for a sea view when booking and we can advise the availability for your holiday dates.

We have a list of all the facilities at each villa which can be found on our website. 

By far the best jogging from Lixouri Bay Beach Club is along the beach. We recommend taking a light jog north from the beach club where you can run right up to an old ruined building. You can then turn back south and again run past the beach club down to where the water level rises. This gives you a bit more of a challenge on the sand! If you are more of a road runner take a trip into the town of Lixouri and run around the back streets – everywhere has pavements and it is a great way to explore Lixouri!

Next door to Lixouri Bay Beach Club is V Boutique which offers a good range of seafood as well as vegetarian and vegan options.

There are a selection of restaurants in the local area outside of Lixouri, especially beachfront tavernas, which require a taxi to get to. Please ask a member of staff at the hotel for more details.

There are some fantastic restaurants in the local town of Lixouri. We recommend heading into town on your evening off and following your nose! There is no need to pre-book as the town has many different restaurants and LOTS of space at each. Feel free to ask the management team in resort for their recommendations.

Yes. We provide one beach towel per person per week. These are signed out on arrival and signed back in before departure.

 Lixouri Beach Club is a great place to swim, the sea remains shallow (standing depth) for a long way and the water is clear and calm. Great for children. The snorkelling is limited, due to the sandy seabed, but there’s always something to see, especially if you go early in the morning.

Every week we host ‘meet your mate’ sessions onland for our younger guests. These are designed as icebreakers for the children to begin their holiday friendships. The beach team will organise a few games and encourage the children to have fun together. The age split of these sessions will be determined by the age of the children in the resort.

In addition to these onland sessions we offer a minimum of 2 onwater sessions each week, for each age group. These are not teaching sessions. They are accessible to all abilities and are a series of games using our watersports equipment. This could include activities such as catamaran joy rides or SUP assault courses.

We also offer a Toddler Splash session for under 5’s. This session is facilitated by a team member, however parents must be in attendance. The staff will provide kayaks, sups, and boats for them to play on in the shallows. This session aims to encourage water confidence and to inspire an interest in boats and the water.

We do not offer a daily childcare program or club.

There is no minimum age. There is something for all ages and abilities. Under 5’s can join Toddler Splash sessions and enjoy using watersports equipment with their grown ups. Over 5’s are old enough to join lessons if they wish to.

When children are NOT in instructor-led sessions, parents/guardians must remain  close:  

For under 10’s please be afloat with them. 

For 10 to 12’s please remain on the beach. 

For 13+ please remain in the hotel grounds. 

During instructor-led sessions parents must remain close:

Absolutely.  We have plenty of activities and lessons to keep them busy. From sailing, to winging, to volleyball, to yoga, to water polo.  We also run a couple of lowkey ‘meet your mates’ sessions which allow the teenagers to meet each other and form friendships straight away.

Of course they can also hang out at the beach bar (which has Wifi available) or spend all day lazing on a sunbed.

For older teenagers, Lixouri town is close by just a 5 – 10 minute taxi ride from Lixouri Bay Beach Club.

We do not offer childcare or babysitting services.

Bouyancy aids are compulosry for many of our onwater activities. These are offered in a range of sizes. For our smaller guests, typically under 5’s, we provide life jackets instead of buoyancy aids. These are limited in number and so it is very helpful if your little one can bring their own float coat or life jacket,  if you have one.

I am afraid there is no kids pool at either of our Clubs.

Yes in Lixouri in the local town there is a playground. At Stira Bay Beach Club the hotel run a Children’s Play Garden session every day from 12:00 – 16:00.

All of our inclusive meals are buffet service with a great, wide selection of food. As we are busy with families throughout the summer, our friendly hoteliers and chefs are used to younger guests and therefore cater for this.

If there are any key dietary requirements or preferences that your children have, you can put this into your Guest Information plus it would be good to email us. We will always work with our hotel teams to cater to all of our guests needs.

For the non-inclusive evenings, our hotels have a’la carte menus that have all the favorites, from burgers and chips to local specialties. Local restaurants are also well adapted to catering for children.
