An Overview
We’re excited to introduce the BeyondBeach | FeelViana collaboration, a new twist on our Beach Clubs for 2026 near Porto, Portugal. Built in warm timber and glass, it’s a four-star hotel, but with the family-friendly atmosphere of a small hotel, delicious local food and an incredibly welcoming team.
We have teamed up with these amazing people to bring you an active escape in a boutique setting for autumn, winter and spring – the perfect compliment to our summer clubs in Greece and a great alternative to a ski holiday.
There’s a spa for slow-down days, and a seriously well-equipped watersports and activities centre. World-class kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing, biking and more.
Cabedello, Portugal
Cabedelo, just across the river from the historic town of Viana do Castelo in northern Portugal, is a laid-back beach spot that mixes natural beauty with a cool, sporty vibe. Its wide stretch of white sand, backed by dunes and pine trees, makes it perfect for relaxing walks or lazy beach days. But when the wind and surf are on, kitesurfers, windsurfers and surfers all have a blast. With a few beach bars, easy boardwalk access and stunning views of the town across the water, Cabedelo is a great escape for anyone who wants sun, sea, and a splash of adventure without the crowds – all year round.

“After Susy and I checked into FeelViana last November, it was clear it wasn’t your average beach hotel. Only half an hour from Porto and with loads off flights from the UK it’s easy, and pretty cheap to get to. Everything feels fresh and modern — all pine, glass, and smooth lines — with interiors that, as the hotel puts it, are designed to “feel as though you were at a friend’s home.”

The hotel has about 50 rooms and has a modern, cool design set amongst the pine trees and sand dunes. It’s surprisingly family-friendly; the kids’ club was busy with activity while parents lounged by the pool or went for run along the beach. Cycling fans are in their element here. We joined one of the guided bike tours, winding through pine forests and coastal trails, though you can also rent a GPS-equipped bike (road/mountain/e-bike) and explore solo – great rides on and off road right from the front gates. Back across the river, the town of Viana do Castelo is just a short ferry ride away — about ten minutes — and well worth another visit for its charming old centre, café terraces and seafood spots serving hearty caldeirada stew.
And when you’re ready to slow down, the hotel spa is pure bliss: an indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, and plenty of treatments to soothe tired legs. After a few days here, it’s easy to forget about it all — mornings full of surf or cycling, afternoons drifting into hammocks, hot tubs and some yoga. FeelViana nails that perfect balance between activity and simple indulgence.
A perfect retreat, away from the crowds during the less busy shoulder months between September and May.

When’s it open ?
FeelViana is an amazing destination for spring, autumn and winter as the weather during these periods is often lovely, it’s less busy and the hotel is lovely and cosy.
Perfect for October Half Term, Xmas breaks and Easter Holidays.
Our usual package is for a 7 night stay, however we can also offer shorter stays and flexible options for multi-centre stays – just ask.

Inclusive Activities
It’s a slightly different concept than our usual Beach Clubs in Greece. All the activities, both on & off the water, are provided by the FeelViana team of qualified instructors and beach staff. A fabulous bunch of people.
Please Note :
The watersports is an official Club North centre, so there’s top of the range, brand new equipment and very high safety standards.
The actual windsurfing school season in Portugal runs from April to September, offering ideal tuition conditions and constant winds for a consistent and unforgettable experience. However brilliant conditions for windsurfing and kit hire is available throughout the year.
The Bike Centre is exceptional. Loads of top of the range road, gravel and mountain (enduro) bikes and of course E-bikes supplied by Scott and other top brands. Exceptionally maintained bikes with professional local guides, GPS self-led routes and van/trailer uplifts.
Dinghy sailing is not available at the moment – we’re working on that one !

Tucked away behind the dunes, the seaside hideaway is the kind of place where you fall asleep to the gentle sound of waves and wake up to the scent of pine. The chalet-style rooms are cozy and simple, clad in warm wood and filled with natural light.
Depending on your group size we offer different options. If you’re a couple or family of 3 booking a Standard Room or a family of 4 opting for a Junior Suite, each space comes with all the essentials—TV, Wi-Fi, minibar, and a refreshing shower. As part of our standard 7 day package we include all breakfasts and 4 evening meals.
Start your morning right with a generous buffet breakfast, packed with plenty of wholesome, healthy options to fuel your day. The food here is a real highlight — in the main restaurant, talented chefs turn fresh, locally sourced ingredients into authentic Portuguese dishes that are as delicious as they are full of flavour. For something a little more laid-back, head to the taverna, a relaxed beach-shack-style spot serving up mouthwatering snacks and light bites throughout the day. Little ones are well looked after too, with a dedicated kids’ menu full of tasty favorites. And if you have specific dietary needs, FeelViana’s team are more than happy to cater to them with care and creativity.
There’s always an excellent and varied menu of vegetarian options – and of course a selection of local wines from the nearby Douro valley area and other delicious Portuguese wines.

Getting There
FeelViana sits harmoniously within its protected surroundings, where guests can do as much or as little as they wish. Learn to surf; bike up the river Limia for lunch, or discover the historic Porto for a day.
Viana do Castelo, Portugal – A 45 minute drive from Porto airport. It is situated in a pine forest tucked behind the sand dunes on a blissful white sandy beach.

Where exactly is the FeelViana?
FeelViana is tucked away in the pine forest just a stones throw from the white sands of Praia do Cabedelo in northern Portugal. The town of Viana do Castelo is just a ten minute drive away, which boasts lots of restaurants, cafes and shops.
How far from the Airport is FeelViana? What’s the best way of getting between the two?
The closest airport is Porto which is just a 45 minute driveaway.
1) Pre-Book a transfer with us to take away all the hassle. You’ll see our sign and your name on arrival.
2) Grab a taxi on arrival at the airport rank and ask for FeelViana Sport Hotel.
3) Book car hire, to allow you to explore Porto and the surronding area.
What meals are included?
All accommodation is Club board, which is breakfast every day and three evening meals. Lunch and dinner on non-inclusive nights are available at the hotel restaurant and tavern. FeelViana boast fresh, honest, healthy food made with seasonal ingredients.
Alternatively, there are various restaurants and tavernas in Viana do Castelo Town and the local area.
Is there a supermarket close to the club where we can buy provisions?
Yes, there are plenty of mini-marts and a supermarket in the local town as well as plenty of bakeries and cafes too. Viana do Castelo is a 5 – 10 minute taxi ride from the hotel.
Is the beach sandy?
Yes, it is a wide strip of sandy beach, with a beach bar and a grassy area.
Do all the rooms have sea views?
The Garden rooms look over the beautiful hotel gardens, whereas the SeaSide rooms look towards the sea through the pine forests. You can hear the sound of the sea from all accommodations.
Are there any ‘safe’ jogging routes from the resort
There are excellent jogging routes from FeelViana along the beautiful sandy beach, across the boardwalks or through the pine forests.
Is there a kids club?
The English-speaking kids club is available on request for children aged four to twelve. The kids club is open 09:00 – 17:00. We recommend prebooking for the times you require, this could be just an hour, half day or full day.
What is provided for the inclusive activities?
All equipment is provided for the inclusive activities:
– Surf Lesson – board and wetsuit provided
– Guided Bike Tour – bike and helmet provided
All towels are provided, for the room, spa and each towels.
Will there be BeyondBeach staff at FeelViana?
There won’t be any BeyondBeach staff on site at FeelViana, however the FeelViana team are outstanding and will be on hand 24/7 for anything you may need.
