Kefalonia has some great kiting winds. Lighter morning breezes allow intermediate kiters the chance to master the kite in the shallows. When the winds pick up in the afternoon kite surfers can head out for a blast around the sailing area.

The island of Kefalonia sits off the south-west coast of mainland Greece, well known for its mountain range, perfect temperatures and thermal wind conditions. Over summer temperatures range from 20-30+ degrees. You can say goodbye to your wet suit and hello to boardies and bikinis.

Kitesurfing Is not offered directly at our clubs and we do not offer rental equipment or Tuition.

Competent Kiters are permitted to launch with their own equipment upwind of our Beach club sailing areas.

We have two great beach clubs: Lixouri Bay and Paliki in Kefalonia, Greece.

Dedicated kite zone

If you can already kite competently and have your own kit please feel free to bring it along on your Beach Club Holiday. With cross/offshore winds and a gently shelving big sandy beach, Lixouri Bay is a good spot to kite. We have a dedicated kite area. It’s not a busy beach either so works really well for launching and practising in the shallows, especially for intermediate kiters.

Kite Support

We do provide an on-the water safety cover service for your peace of mind in our support boats.
